Chapter 14

Verses 14-17

It was late and the sun had set, and the people said to the teacher: "Teacher, it is late and the sun has set, tell us to go home so that we might eat and sleep." But De Nilson leapt to his feet and took from his bum bag a handful of locusts. Breaking one in half he said: "This is a locust, it is food. Eat all the animals, I don't like them. Except maybe the horses, and I quite like dogs. Use their bodies for meat, use their skin for clothes, use their fur as pillows for your head." When the teacher had finished speaking he put the locust in his mouth and began eating. At this the people fled to the surrounding hills and slaughtered 400 goats and 8 kittens.
